Puppy help.....time-out room?

You don't say how old your dog is. Maybe you are expecting too much from it? Do not give your dog freedom in the house until it is housebroken. You need to watch them like a hawk when you are around them. Dogs do not pee indoors for spite because they aren't getting enough attention. Spite is a human trait. When your dog gets too excited, get him out of doors, When he awakens from a nap, get him out of doors. When he eats, or drinks, get him out of doors. Persistance on your part. The more you give the pup a chance to relieve himself out of doors, the quicker he will become housebroken. Praise your dog when he relieves himself outside. Ignore him when he goes inside, unless you can catch him in the act. Then simply tell him "NO" and take him out of doors.
