Marine husband is alcoholic. What can I do?

We are on the brink of divorce. He says he "just wants to be single and drink." I know if I report him to his command we will definately be over with. I just don't know what to do. I'm so upset. I love him with all my heart and he's being so mean and cold hearted towards me but I know its the alcoholism that has taken over his life. I feel so lost and hopeless. Anyone ever been in this situation?
