Lebanese Arabic tradition - New Year's?

We had a tradition in our family that as soon as the New Year hit, we would have a contest to say something to our parents like "Bistrante Aleck." If you said it to your parents first they would have to give you money, usually $0.50 or something small like that. But I have no idea what that translates to in English as I know it's not "Happy New Year." Can someone provide me the direct translation?
