Are people bigots because they are angry, or angry because they are bigots?

I think people are bigots because they are afraid. And they are angry because they are afraid. People are afraid of what they don't understand and afraid when they think they will lose something they care about. But I also think sometimes people are taught to be afraid. I was raised to be afraid of lots of different kinds of people. I think we need to work in both areas, improving poverty or whatever so that people aren't struggling and looking for someone to blame and diversity understanding, cause it's hard to hate a group of people when you have met many great people who are in that group.
